Games Expo 2012
Is anyone going to this? The web site says 20 players... but no trash talk?
Re: Games Expo 2012
Quite a few of us from Manchester are heading down.

Re: Games Expo 2012
Is it still a 'light relief' type event... if I turn up with a sporting army will I be a punch bag?
Re: Games Expo 2012
There will be the usual mix of keen hunter killer types with their combat fatigues and dom rom or dailami armies and the rest of us*, who dont care so much, bringing the usual 'what havent i played for ages' type army.

21 players now and still a while to go.
If we get an odd number of entries I will have to pick some oddball army to take.

Re: Games Expo 2012
Sadly the date change has meant a clash for myself and Gordon of the Berkeley Vale club but I understand Mike's still going to represent us, otherwise you'd have had 2 more entrants.hammy wrote:There are still places left in this event so all you fence sitters, now is the time to give it a go
It'll be interesting to see whether the change of date affects attendance generally, personally I'd much rather have spent the jubilee weekend at a gaming convention than watching interminable documentaries on the last 60 years of HRH's reign on TV. And I now have to go to the street party and engage all the neighbours, whom I never normally see in passing let alone socially, in idle chitchat about the weather! Bah!
Disappointed of Cheltenham.

This is, of course, why I am currently planning to be at Newstead Abbey for the Sealed Knot muster over the Bank Holiday.stenic wrote:...personally I'd much rather have spent the jubilee weekend at a gaming convention than watching interminable documentaries on the last 60 years of HRH's reign on TV. A bunch of good friends, some beer, hopefully a campfire or large barbecue, and some singing in the evenings, plus a good few ounces of black powder to fire off during the day.
Also, there should be enough Parliamentarians so we won't get asked to help them out on the basis of our "Nice Red Coats"...

There are still a few places left for this event and I think that today is the last day before the bookings system is closed.
I have a decent number of lists already but there are still a few I am waiting for, as soon as they are all in I will post a runners and riders.
See you soon

Re: Games Expo 2012
I just re-sent my army list to hammy@the-riverbank.net , as requested. That's the email address from the Games Expo site
However, I notice that the emails from hammy have James@urgentdawn.freeserve.co.uk as the from and reply-to fields
Have I been sending the emails into the ether?
