Pillau
Starting prestige 2500
Ending prestige 200
Losses 1x SS Panther and 1x Jagdpanther IV/70
DV on turn 18

This was an ambitious and innovative scenario and not to mention an extremely brutal one. I like the idea of having to keep the transport alive, it definitely put you in an interesting and unique situation. The problem with keeping the transport alive is that you have to quickly knock out the two forts and then keep them safe from the Red Airforce. This requires you to dedicate two fighters throughout the scenario to guarding the transports, and to knock out those forts fast enough requires an extreme effort. I managed to do so, but it was far from easy.

My losses on this one were absolutely staggering. The majority of my units were at six strength or less by the end of the battle. The amount of Soviet heavy armor was high and the Red Airforce was even more deadly with even less fighters available to help guard my units. Up to this point I have always been able to at least use largely elite reinforcements for my troops, and even overstrength them to some extent. After this battle it is clear that elite replacements will have to be used very sparingly and normal replacements will have to make up the majority of my replacements. Which is fine of course, I doubt the Wehrmacht didn't exactly have an abundance of manpower at this point.

I have two critiques on this battle, the first one is that the number of Soviet subs probably needs to be toned down substantially. They sank my destroyers and then my battlecruisers in short order. I know the Kriegsmarine is supposed to be able to help you but it seems like they will never be able to do so with the huge number of enemy subs.

The other critique is that whatever weird tile artwork is being used for the frozen bay looks kinda...odd. I thought I was seeing some kind of graphical glitch or something at first but I think the tile artwork is just kinda funky-looking. It looked more like a marsh than a frozen bay I thought.

Overall, an excellent and brutal scenario. Keep it up!

I have done quite well in the last 5 scenarios and I was looking forward to this one so started it with all 6 of my infantry units and three panthers and 2 artillary in the North to protect my army from attack from the north. I brought from my core my 2 Stukas and 1 heavy bomber as I thought I was likely to need them along with fighter support. My main thrust was south across the frozen river. I quickly found out, almost to my detriment that I had to do something to protect my 2 transports)having lost the other 2 before I could have a turn). Inhad to risk my bombers to take out the two forts and use 2 fighters permanantly over the transports (1 of which was down to strength). Very difficult to do with a strong Russian airforce presence.

I was fortunate that my heavy tank forces were rested from the last scenario as I had used others to defend the river in scenario 5. I have a large forces pool which helped with this as I have little prestige to strengthen. Still. thoroughly enjoyed this and the last two scenarios. The fight still rages on
