Paras and initiative
Since initiative is such an important stat would this not make the Para's really good infantry or are there other to consider.
Re: Paras and initiative
Paras are the best infantry for attacking soft targets. They also seem to work well against strongpoints. Their only problem is their lack of ammunition. They always seem to be running out at critical moments.

Re: Paras and initiative
Well My mtn infantry got a +1 initiative hero and was thinking of upgrading it to a Para infantry to really stack the initiative. Then I convert one of my regular infantry into a mtn infantry. I always like having one.
Re: Paras and initiative
Ammo is the problem. I try to keep each para together with a grenadier or some other infantry regiment in order to provide protection and firepower when the bullets run out.kevini1000 wrote:Since initiative is such an important stat would this not make the Para's really good infantry or are there other to consider.

Re: Paras and initiative
I used one Para for the Hague mission. I use it to reinforce the auxilery para but it wasn't really needed. Except for my pinoieres I put everything else back to regular infantry/regular SE and 1 mtn infantry. I prefer mobility and the pionieres are around for the hard fighting. I like my force comp atm. Next I would like to add 1 more recon and some more tanks. Perhaps even another 88 would be nice as well.
Re: Paras and initiative
When you get movement heroes, change to Grenadiers.
Re: Paras and initiative
second that.
