The war has only begun.

The changes to the equipment file and -75% prestige really begin to have an impact this year.

Unfortunately I had the mute button on during the recording of Voronezh and part of Novoannisky. I will be sure to check the settings for every recording in the future.

Lack of free time hampers further operations against the Russians. But I hope to have some more videos out before D3 is out...

I tired to get through Tatsinskaya about half a dozen times and I've given up. (On the default settings.) I mean, I know the Soviets outnumbered the Wehrmacht significantly but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 10 to 1, and the Germans should still enjoy a qualitative edge. After a while the game feels like Whack-A-Mole or an arcade game. Just not fun. Kinda boring actually. And a real drag wathcing your core units get slaughtered. I doubt I'll get to DLC 43 and 44 (I've purchased both), too many other games to play.

Hey Deducter, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your continuing to produce this excellent series of videos. I really like that you use a generally more "historical" core, and that you divide your corps into separate "divisions". I find that these ideas make the campaign much more engaging and I borrowed them for my most recent Grand Campaign that I have started up. I have picked up a lot of good new tips from your videos, and one of my favorite things to do lately is to play one of your videos in the background while I play the same scenario myself. Keep up the great work!

I hope my video shows you an idea of how to do Tatsinkaya. If you are playing on the default setting without mods, you should be able to overstrength all your units and get the best upgrades, which will help immensely. Plus this is supposed to be the hard path in 1942. However, I do understand these hard missions are not for everyone. I tried to demonstrate in my videos that they are far from impossible though.

You can always play 1943 on using all elite Tigers/Panthers. You won't lose any core units that way.

I also disagree entirely that this is like an arcade game. At a high level, lots and lots of thought is required, and even I don't play close to perfectly. Clever positioning and use of units can work just as well as brute force.

I personally think the game gets truly interesting (and hard) in 1943, at least with my mod.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll start doing 1943 soon. It will be epic. I can't win all DVs anymore, and I have to go to playing on Rommel difficulty instead of -75% prestige.

Hi deducter, after cooling down for a few weeks, I dusted myself off and gave GC42 another try, with much more success this time. Made it to Stalingrad and decided to fight in the ruins instead of doing Tatsinkaya. Finished up the GC with almost all DVs and almost all my core intact. Bring on GC43!

Your vids were helpful. Great job.
