FoG is as much fun as FoW

Post by hammy »

I went to the club last night to have a mosey, mainly because Michele was out roleplaying and I had not had a chance to play over the weekend.

When I got there one of the competitors from the Britcon FoG comp was well into a FoG game with another club memeber who had been playing FoW at the weekend. Both of them were more than happy to play a game despite 6 over the weekend.

Then another weekend FoG competitor turned up to show off his new toys. After a bit of chatting we decided to have an impromptu game using all the toys in his box which was near enough 800. By the time I bothered looking at the clock again it was nearly midnight and I was having lots of fun. I think we started at about 8:30 so the game wasn't too long but it was really fun.

Overall FoG is much less of a brain ache than DBM and my experience seems to be that people are really enjoying their games

Unfortunatly the shiny new Roman's were no match for the terrain and the Bosphoran's in the terrain, given that it was effectivly a random army with just enough to get the estimated 800. I blame the politicans for the loss for giving me inadequete resources- They looked pretty though.

Ps
Hammy we were approximatly correct- infact I have calculated it and there were 806 points on the table with the 3 Generals.
