Summer 1025 Battle Report

Batesmotel (Early Nike) 24/38 def Turk1964 (Hamnidads) 42/41

No camps looted No commanders killed

The Hams werent at their best in this battle and poor performance by the Lancers cost them the battle. Well done to the great manouvering by the Nikes, just couldnt quite get around them.

Cheers Turk

Once again the Gods please us on the Battlefield.

defeated
Aristides (Gaznavid) 37/37 , lost sub commander (Aristides to confirm) 8)

GodS? You're a Pagan? I'm afraid that means you lose 90,000 Renown!
iandavidsmith wrote:Lord Chaldia celebrates by marring two of his daughters
Marrying your own children is really frowned upon - lose 10,000 Renown (for each daughter). But if you really meant marring, then that's fine (though an odd way to celebrate).

Yes, a very small, bald and lonely leader did run away due to becoming terrified at the unbelievable dice of the opposing army.
Also, I took the field. Also, also, challenge made via pm to Turk.
‘I go North, to the swords and the siege,
That yet for a while rivers may run clean and birds build their nests,
Ere Night comes.’

keyth (Arabs) 39/40
defeated
batesmotel (Byzantines) 39/38

Byzantine camp looted, one Arab FC killed, don't think I got any Byzantine commanders.
Looks like the Byzantines also lost 1 TC. If only my inept skirmishers had looted the Arab camp on the first try, would have gone the other way

batesmotel (Nikephorian Byzantine-early) - 24/38
Turk1964 (Hamdanids) - 42/41

On a map with more terrian than the Byzantines wanted, the Arab lancers weren't able to really bring their weight to bear. The Byzantine lancers managed to beat Arab lancers in the open and in the celarings in the woods before the Arab flanking force could turn the Byzantine left flank. No camps were looted and I think the Arabs lost one general (TC) but not certain. No Byzantine commanders were lost. Thanks for a fun and challenging game.

As far as I can see, Summer will be complete once Turk1964 vs. Aristides and Tophat vs. iandavidsmith have been resolved. Maybe it's time to consider what Autumn may bring...

Did I mention that the ownership of provinces may stand or fall depending on these outcomes? The tension is palpable :)

Can the protagonists let us know where they are up to in the two remaining battles? I'd like to be able to move things along into Autumn ASAP.

Cheers.

Gday Keyth
The game between Aristides and myself is progressing very slowly on about turn 8 i think. The time difference is making play rather dificult as i am in Oz and we seem to be able to only manage a turn per day. So at this rate it will be some time before we are finished  Can you make a suggestion as to what is to happen?

The game between Tophat and myself is well under way.
Its turn 7 and it bloody and violent , just like we all love it.
Its anyones game , although Tophat general just swallowed
a fly and and is now decomposing on the battlefield.

Your bloodily ,
