Oh, I like women just fine, I've had my share of GF's, and maybe even a small portion of someone else's share
I've even lived with a few of them. But sooner or later, they've all found cause to move along.
What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Well, you see, one of my oldest friends, that I have known since 1975, announced a few days ago that he's getting married. Again.
Now, this guy has been married twice before, disastrously. Both of his previous wives were just flat psycho loonie. And apallingly homely too, especially for a professional man who is 6' tall, burly and reasonably handsome, owns income property and a sailboat, and generally has all the trappings of moderate material success. Not to mention he's genuinely a nice guy, and I mean nice in a sense that I am not.
It should be said in his defense, however, that he managed to get two fine daughters out of the mess, one by each ex. And each of those daughters is a young woman to be proud of. So add "Good Father" to the list of his virtues.
And now he's getting married again. Sigh.
Oh, there's no question of my saying anything. It would hurt him deeply, and there's no possibility of changing his mind about something this important. He's a Taurus, and lives up to the stubborn part of that personality type, in spades.
But again, AGAIN. I feel like a man watching a train wreck about to happen, with no way to prevent it.
