help, can't post an image

can someone direct me to the how do I post an image? I used Imageshack and evidently as usual I messed something up I don't want to keep experimenting if you know what I mean. I didn't sign on with the Imageshack when I posted the image. been a long time. soooo, I signed in again. any help or a pointer of what I'm doing wrond would be grealtly appreciated.

Hi dk.
I used to use Imageshack, but lately I've been using another image host:
Imgur

Just upload normally and you'll get several type of links.
Just choose the "BBCode (message boards & forums)".
Copy and paste the link (with the [img] brackets inclusive) into the post.
That will be enough.

Another option I use is Dropbox. Put the image in the Public folder in Dropbox and use the image code to link to the public link.
