Don't worry about it, fortunately PC is still compatible all over the world, you won't have region issues AFAIK. I'm running some US games right now and they work just fine.

Yes PC's are PC's so no issues there. There will be a US release, it's just lagging behind Europe a little right now.

Why can't I just order the UK version direct from Slitherine and run that?

you can't play the UK version on television sets in the US because the UK uses PAL and the US uses NTSC. They are different types of coloring systems on the TV and from what I understand the only version for gaming consoles like PS2 is in PAL, not NTSC. So it wouldn't really work. Well, this is what I understand from reading around the website about the game.

Yep, the game evaluation/testing by cdv Software Entertainment USA has always been done completely, and fully, making sure the most common PC hardware and software have no issues with the most common PC systems to avoid any incompatibilties/bugs before release. May take a little more time before a release, but you don't have to worry about buying the game, and then waiting for a patch to play it.

The game will start shipping around 9/17/07.

Enjoy!
