1. Korsun Pocket
Interesting to note there is no per turn prestige in this defensive scenario, rather, the prestige comes from escorting supply planes to the airfields.
DV 11/20 turns. I had no interest in dragging this fight out, as you don’t get more prestige from it.
Escorting the supply planes was trivial, as the AI is not competent enough to force fire them down with their fighters.
My greatest strength is defense. With the starting core’s overstrength units and the vanilla equipment flie, victory was so easy, I felt very bored. Kharkov43 felt much, much harder than this. I captured back 2 VH, I had no interest in attacking the Soviets, who seemed more interesting in moving their units up to get encircled and destroyed than anything else.
I felt I didn’t have enough infantry, as the AI put so many tanks on close terrain. 43 Infantry are clearly fine as is, although with their inflated SA values they become too vulnerable in close terrain against other infantry. I don’t like seeing a 12 strength grenadier inflict 9 points of damage on a 43 regular in a city, but that’s why I made my mod.
Conscripts in the open are easily destroyed by Panzer IVHs. All Soviet light tanks won’t attack into my Panzers. Only the JS-1, and the hero KV-85 and ISU-122 were willing to actually attack me.
On the ground the AI seems to have too many T-34/41 and Su-76. I’d add a whole bunch, maybe even 10ish, T-34/43 to the various AI attack groups. Also need to give the AI some real fighters. Seriously, LaGG-3 in 1944??? Those planes were obsolete in 1941! At least there should be many La-5, Yak-7, and Yak-9D, along with a few Yak-3. And more Il-2 too, I saw 1 in this entire scenario.
I'd recommend replacing the starting core's 12.8 cm FlaK with the 8.8 cm FlaK. I miss the dual mode too much. Although I guess I could just downgrade it myself next scenario...
Alternatively, increase the time between the spawning of the Supply Planes, so DV can be achieved at best by turn 15 or so. I don’t like playing a scenario and finishing it half the number of turns ahead of schedule.

2. Korsun Breakout
Heeding the mission briefing, I deployed infantry around Hill 239 and destroyed all Russian AT units without an issues. After crossing the River, spotted masses upon masses of obsolete Soviet tanks and two good Soviet tanks (JS-1 and KV-85), both of which stumbled onto forests and were destroyed by my infantry. Clearing out the outdated T-34s was not hard at all.
First Soviet attack wave came from the north, except for the JS-2, I just bogged it down with my heavy armor and destroyed what I could while moving my units south. The second wave of Soviet units came from the South, and only attacked me once I had 10+ units that escaped.
Knowing the direction and quantity of the AI attacks will make this scenario quite a bit easier in the future.
The hardest part of this scenario was the weather. It snowed quite a bit, so the Soviets are still using to the old Frozen North method of winning, by negating the massive initiative advantage of my experienced units. Fair enough. There were also quite a few turns of mud, which is realistic of course after the snow melts. The problem is, this scenario took place in February, and the spring thaw doesn’t usually come until March. So it might even be best to keep the ground frozen the entire time. I really don’t think there is enough snow for the Eastern Front.
Lost three armored units, a PzIVH (good job by the AI) and a green SE Panther and the KV-1C. I should not have lost the other two units, it was just bad moves on my part. Also lost a recon unit. Challenging scenario, but not too hard.
Except for Yak-3s, the Russian air force was not a threat.
I was shocked at the end of the scenario to find that there were very few Russian units left. I had crushed the vast majority of the Russian armor somehow.

Narva
A trivial scenario, done with 0 units lost. Must have killed about 20+ armored units in close terrain. As long as you know about infantry and artillery in close terrain, and you stay behind the river for most of the scenario, this is scenario is trivial. In fact, given what I know about the map now, I could probably win with about 25 core slots just as easily, because a good portion of my army sat around uselessly for most of the scenario.
I realized that I could launch a counteroffensive in the south fairly quickly, after most of the AI waves were defeated. There seems to be something to capture at the SE VH, so in the future, I will do so. I did not launch an attack because I had no idea of the size and strength of the AI forces, but now that I know, I’m pretty confident I get whatever the captured unit is.
One thing that annoyed me greatly in this scenario is the preponderance of Soviet SPAA. I could understand having some of them in 1942 and 1943, but the number now is ridiculous. The SPAA did 90% of the damage to my fighters, whereas the Soviet Air Force managed to shoot down one of my Stukas because I was careless with it, and that was it. Honestly Stukas are hardly worth deploying anymore.
I don’t have any problems with the German player not being able to get air superiority, in fact, I consider it a must for these scenarios. However, I disagree with the choice of simply giving the AI lots of SPAA to weaken the Luftwaffe. Double the number of Soviet fighters if you have to, or give them more overstrength, or something else. It’s so much more epic to see the sky blanketed with Soviet planes, as was historically accurate, than to watch your fighters slowly get worn down by SPAA.

4. Strachwitz Offensive
A reasonably challenging scenario. The key to this is the appropriate use of infantry in rough terrain while using heavy armor to control the roads. I also didn’t bother capturing various VH hexes until I had driven heavy armor over the bridges to establish a bridgehead and prevent counterattacks. Players who are not careful might incur very heavy losses, but I found the difficulty to be fine.
I didn’t lose any units, and gained a good amount of prestige, despite me using almost all elite reinforcements during battle.
I think the scenario is fine as is, maybe add a few more Soviet fighters.

5. Poltava
A very interesting scenario. Since I avoided the main roads, I didn’t have much of a problem. I don’t remember any counterattacks by good Soviet tanks except for a few T-34/85, which aren’t too bad. At least the T-34/85 have a fighting chance against Tigers and Panthers, which works out quite well.
I was a bit confused by two Soviet cities in the east with the “A” symbol on top of them. Do they have extra capturable units, or give triggered prestige, or something? If there’s no significance to them, please remove those symbols.
I would reduce the turn limit by about 4 or 5 or so.
6. Mogilev
For the start of Operation Bagration, this scenario is too easy, despite the presence of many Soviet 3 star units. The terrain is too advantageous for the defender. In the north and south, all you need is one heavy armor unit blocking the bridge and you can just force surrenders every turn. In middle, just deploy heavy armor on clear terrain and secure the roads while using infantry in close terrain to annihilate everything else.
I’m fielding around 7 experienced heavy armor (2 Panthers, 2 Tigers, 1 King Tiger, 1 Elefant, and 1 Jadgpanther), and I absolutely destroyed all Soviet armor without issue. It felt a bit like playing GC41 beta.
I’d probably remove a lot of the T-34/41 and let the Soviets field all T-34/43 and T-34/85. I’d also add a few decent tanks to the first Soviet attack waves, at least a few ISU-122 and JS-1. The first attack wave was way too easy to defeat. The second attack wave was tougher, but even though I shifted to the offensive, I still crushed everything the Soviets had. My 4 star King Tiger and Jagdpanther were invincible.
Also allow the Soviets to already have bridgeheads established, so it’s tougher to push them across the river. This would make it necessary to actually have a significant force in the north and south.
Too many Soviet bombers, too few fighters. Except for the 4 star 14 strength La-7, the Red Air Force was a joke. I’d give the Soviets at least 10 or 15 more decent fighters (La-5 or better).
I’d also reduce the turn limit by around 5. This way, a player who is struggling gets to end early, and a player who is doing well can’t just farm this scenario for extra per turn prestige. This will also make DV somewhat harder to achieve.
DV 17/20, although I could’ve gotten it 3 turns earlier, I waited until I captured that SE city that gave me a JagdTiger prototype. However, I’m not so sure about that JagdTiger prototype available for capture this mission, as it may be too good.

7. Babruysk
Holding off the two initial Soviet attack waves was trivial and too easy. I once again didn’t bother to upgrade my units much, despite having some newer models. I still only have 7 heavy armor units, including only one Tiger II. Yet the Tiger II wipes the floor with anything, even the JS2, without any problems.
Soviet Air Force was once again trivial to defeat. It felt more like 1941 than 1944. GC43 did a good job with the Red Air Force, why is it so abysmal now? Too many players complaining about how hard it was?
The hardest part of this scenario wasn’t the Soviet attacks, but the endless JS-2 spam near the end. I had cleaned up all the Soviet attack units by turn 12 or 13. I went on the offensive at this point. The AI bought endless numbers of JS2 at its various cities, placing many of them on rivers. So I killed them, over and over again, hoping the AI would run out of prestige. I must have killed something like 10-15 JS2 in this scenario, by which time I could no longer get DV. This seems very silly to me.
I lost a green infantry I was trying to train, because I foolishly left it in clear terrain even though I knew there was a JS2 nearby. I was just so bored at that point that I stopped caring and barely bothered to control my units except for the ones trying to get to the last VH.
I’d buff the initial AI attack waves and massively lower the AI’s per turn prestige. It shouldn’t get more than 150 prestige per turn, which would reduce the final JS2 spam down to reasonable levels. I’d also reduce the turn count on this scenario.
MV 20/20, due to JS2 spamming.

Minsk44
Change the starting AUX Wehrmacht 43 infantry to Wehr reserve. They are holding off the Soviets for too long currently.
This scenario is reasonably difficult. Finally, a scenario that felt like the Soviets were serious about their attack. Holding off the Soviet attack into Minsk was actually reasonably challenging.
Good quality of various Soviet tanks, but replace the obsolete T-34/41. Lots and lots of Soviet infantry, which is good.
There are a large number of potential methods of playing this scenario, from retreating into Minsk and using the close terrain to fighting at the suburbs. I initially retreated into Minsk, but subsequently decided upon fighting the massive Soviet attack in the south first.
One last wave of Soviet units was spotted at the two NE VH and never attacked. I think it is a good idea to keep this as a rearguard force and not set it to attack. Players who want DV can go fight them, including a 13 strength 3 star JS2, but players who are happy with MV like myself can sit in the city and breath a bit easier.
However, I did spot a few guards in half-tracks in the middle of the eastern edge of the map. Those units should attack. In fact, I would change some of the Soviet infantry into Guards 43, as I have not seenmany of those, while there were plenty of the various other Soviet infantry.
Red Air Force should still get a slight buff this scenario.
Now that I know how the Soviets will attack, I also know how best to deploy my forces to counter, but when I first played this things were tense at several points, although I was never in any real danger of being destroyed like Kiev43.
I think this scenario is mostly fine as is. I’d actually recommend adding a few 1 star JS2 to the various Soviet attack waves, because except for 1 3 star 13 strength JS2 in the southern wave, I was not challenged by the Soviet tanks.
