I don't know if I've got it right, but it seems to be Austria ( German Regts.in Helmet, Hungarians in Shako, blue trousers )& France (1808 uniform ).
Is there a clue anywhere in the forum what an 800 point Austrian Army (or Column) will contain?

Re: Lists in the New Book
FOGN rule book has the following lists:
Anglo-Portuguese Army1810-11
Spanish Army 1810-11
French Inf Corps 1812
Russian Army1812
Ottoman Turkish Army 1809-12
French Inf Corps 1813
Prussian Army 1813
Austrian Army 1813
some brave design choices made here- some armies just cannot get an exceptional army commander.

Clear the battlefield and let me see

And a couple of Scenario lists, including Sacille from which it should be very easy to sort out 1809 Force. Only disappointment being a lack of maps.

Scrap the Westphalians, looks like the choices for me arestecal wrote:FOGN rule book has the following lists:

Spanish
or
French w/Wurttembergers a-la-III Corps 1812 (if do-able)
Re: Lists in the New Book
PS - does "French Infantry Corps 1812" have allied units?

Re: Lists in the New Book
Westphalians will probably be in the 1st army list book due out in June ... if you can wait.
I've used mine in a couple of playtests, fielding most troops as poor drilled. Cheap but slightly dodgy. I managed a win against Brits and a loss against Italians.
Cheers

Re: Lists in the New Book
Which is why Wurttemberg sounds better, I want competent troops and those were the best Germans Napoleon had.
Re: Lists in the New Book
What does a typical army look like size wise? Did anybody get their book from barnes & noble yet?

Re: Lists in the New Book
The 800 point armies seem to be 12-14 units, perhaps up to 18 if predominantly low quality, or 8-10 for a Guard Corps.
Average composition in an infantry based force seems to be 3-4 cavalry, 1-2 artillery and the rest infantry. Mostly 4 divisions although sometimes 3. Artillery attachments are often maxed out. Mostly L1 Divisional Ccommanders, often with a L2 Corps Commander.
Cheers

My French can get two "outings", but there seems to be an omission - who are the opponents for the Anglo-Portuguese in 1810-11?

That's why my Brits are doing so well in my solo campaign.
Just no opposition.

Re: Lists in the New Book
You'll have to wait until book 2 of the lists for that. It was a hard decision trying to choose a limited number of armies for entry in the rulebook. Some, if not most, players will be disappointed. The lists in the book are to give you a flavour of what the 'real' army list will look like.My French can get two "outings", but there seems to be an omission - who are the opponents for the Anglo-Portuguese in 1810-11?

Re: Lists in the New Book
I understand the limit on army lists in the rule book and the reason behind it, but I would have expected the Anglo-Portuguese list to have a suitable opponent like the 1812 and 1813 lists.
