Symbol question

All,

Just bought the IPad version and was wondering if there is a place to go over the basics?

What does the bullets mean? My tanks have 2 bullets and curious what that signifies.

When the game starts up, there is an online help choice. That has some points.

The Bullets show how many times you can fire , eg 2 shots for 2 bullets
Promotions gain experience and new skills , for example , 3 shots or a guaranteed
sniper shot.
