Error: Army data is corrupted

Installed and updated FOG and Decline and fall successfully on 2 computers. Both though show this error msg when trying to access "Thematic Byzantine" in the DAG editor. "Error: Army data is corrupted you may need to reinstall the game."

Is there a fix short of a total reinstall? The updater to get to version 1.72 was an adventure for me.

The best way to get to 1.7.2 is to install the base game, 1.7.1 installer which is stand alone and then do the last bit in the updater.

Followed that procedure and it worked. game is installed and updated to 1.72 now.

New issue: "Error: Army data is corrupted you may need to reinstall the game." The "Thematic Byzantine" army listing in DAG is the file that is corrupted. Is there a fix short of going through the whole reinstall process again?

The error has been reported and will fixed for the next update. It's specific to that army, it seems. See this thread:
