//Strangely my last post was deleted//
I wonder what i can do to play as axis, to prevent an early invasion in the west, making my game pretty much unbeatable as i struggle with russia during this period of time in the game. US and GBR troops starts to pour in at west coast france as early as 1942 (never later).
I use latest ver.
Thankful for any answers, or am i the only one experience this?
With best regards,
pzrshrek

There has been an attack against the Slitherine-Server and some posts were lost.
Concerning your question it seems you are playing against the computer. Then you cannot do much against the early D-Day attempts. The AI will nearly always try to invade France from 1942/43 on. As the AI is really bad (for example it even tries to invade when the weather is bad, which makes any landings impossible) you can usually easily block any invasion attempts easily with some GAR or other units. In case of any landing you should be able to easily crush it. In fact the early D-Day is more or less a good thing, as it makes the combat in the east a little bit more difficult. If the AI would launch D-Day in 1944 it would be even easier to finish off the Soviets.
Should you play against a human opponent (which is recommendable), then the Allied player will most likely also go for an early D-Day if the Axis does not have considerable forces placed in France to make any early invasion difficult.

Okay, humbly thanks for the answer, it make all sense. Alas, i am not that good player with this game so i think the AI is still a challenge for me
PBEM will be a later thing for me.
Sidenote: Gary Grigsby's War in the East is too damn difficult for me, moreover i dont fancy the multiple 'turns' every unit gets every round, as an old Panzer Campaigns player, id prefer if it had only 1 action per counter/turn. Thats why i prefer CEAW. An offspring of both CEAW+PzC+GGWiTE would be the ideal game!

I wouldn't worry about not being too skilled yet. I almost lost my first game (playing as the allies against the computer and all) but I counterattacked when the enemy was near Omsk and ended up winning pretty much the way the Allies did historically but I attacked Italy from southern France rather than Sicily. It seemed as hard as the historical fighting in Italy though.
In spite of the Final Fantasy character it's pronounced sao-win after the Irish pagan god of death. I'm not a pagan but we're on a wargames website so I thought it fitting.
