Sorry, Me again.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Okay all my games are going with the exception of BA. As I changed my pw - as per the advice on the site frontpage - and the game appears to log in - it did in fact ask for the new pw - I am starting to think the problem is at your end.
If it is my machine, I could install it on a friend's lap top and see if my games work from that; that would at least eliminate my computer - or not.
I could put the game and updates on a CD to transfer them.
What say you?

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Nobody else is seeing any issues on a general level. It is almost certainly a setting in IE (the library the game uses to communicate with the server hooks into IE specifically). It is most likely to do with the way that the cookie are being handled - we made some changes to get around the problem that some people had IE set to ignore all cookies, which was breaking the MP system. Hence everything works fine until cookies are required (after login).
I will try and get a testbed out to you before the end of the week, but I am under the gun with the iPad version. I do understand how frustrating this is.
Cheers

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Sorry for the delay - the end of last week crashed in a fireball somewhat...
Please download the following EXE. Drop it into your BA install folder, and run it. Go into MP and try the various tabs etc to show off the issue, and then exit.
Immediately go to My Documents\My Games\BBCBA and email the error.log file to me at pipslitherine@gmail.com
Hopefully this will give me some info to help track down the issue you are having.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Sigh. More server troubles.
I uploaded a new EXE

I am hopeful this will actually fix the issue, but even if not, it should give me more info. Thanks for all your help here.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Running that test .exe means I can see the games but the turn I played did not upload. Going back and using the BA shortcut on my start toolbar I still cannot see the games.
I then ran the test program again, could see the games and clicked on the one I had played, it had not recorded it so I played it again - sorry Oldmanrik - got an M5 this time I did not first time round although I made exactly the same moves.
Then I had to use the task manager to exit BA. Went and grabbed the error log then:
**** Grabbed ****
So it appears info is now being received but not transmitted. My 'help' is gratis; I am in awe of the tech support. I do actually like this game hehe.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Yay! But boo that it didn't work entirely...
Can you please try this one. I am hopeful that it will behave correctly. Then I can build the fixes into the upcoming update.

Thanks a lot. I am hopeful this will get you back and playing once the update releases.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Success Mate! It says it has uploaded. I will put a shortcut to this exe on my desktop and hopefully everthing will be kai pai - pronounced car pie - Maori for 'all good.'
Thank you.
Re: Sorry, Me again.
I got 4 games played, one of which I received back and played again with Oldmanrick. I also got the 'we have noticed blah, blah' message which I presume is related to the three times I played the first game with Rick. Incidentally, I did tell him of my troubles, the times I had played those games and the differing results that happened.
I put a shortcut on my desktop to the .exe you posted. It does not work from there. When I went back into the game folder and started the game from there, none of the games were visible; back to the old problem. I deleted that file and reloaded it again from the zip and everything worked. So it appears until a fix is found I will have to play from the actual game folder in C drive.

Re: Sorry, Me again.
Awesome! Thanks for helping me track this down.
This fix will be part of the next update, which will be in a few days hopefully, so not long!
Cheers
