Is there a megalomanic on this thread!? Don't forget Lichtenstein and Monaco either.
Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

<cough> Portugal is much more than a principality...<cough> <cough>
Now seriously, it would make all the sense in what if scenario, if Hitler invaded the Iberian Peninsula things could have been different.
Most people tend to think that only the center of Europe is important and forget about the peripheral countries. But our European History and our role in the Western Civilization tells a different story.

I concur if not for Spain and Portugal the New World would not have been found and utilized which led to more exploration and competion w/ the other leading powers of Europe which led to colonies to be able to maintain and safegaurd the the revenue going back to Europe. I know that's a simplification,but...

The rest is history...literally

We, in Australia, owe a lot to the Portuguese. If it wasn't for Portuguese explorers sighting the west of Australia and telling the world, 'hey, there's something down there' we may not have been discovered so early, or worse, discovered by the French as we nearly were! :)

Yes, of course I realize this important fact. I was alluding to the camouflage hoards taking over Europe from coast to coast and not letting anything escape. I did leave out Fenwick. Anyone know that country? Very small, very poor. In great need of aid. 8)

Are you serious? Are you going to invade Gibraltar, Spain and Portugal?
BTW, the bridge crossing the Tejo (Tagus) was only build in 1966. Before, you had to cross it by ferry.

There will be a Spain invasion scenario in GTPG without Portugal.
If there is interest to include Portugal, it will be only in SS-GTPG.

This is what i'm going to do.
For GTPG: the player will be able to chose whether to attack Spain or not.
For SS-GTPG: the player will be able to chose whether to attack Spain and Portugal or not.
This appears to be the best approach.

FENWICK is/was a state presided over by the illustrious Peter Sellers in the movie entitled "The Mouse That Roared". The country was impoverished without recourse and decided to declare war on the United States believing in the losing to the USA, they would be rebuilt totally as other nations had been in past wars. It is an entertaining movie. I just wanted to see who was on their toes. ABMongo reminds me of General Jack Ripper in Dr. Strangelove at the Air Force base.

The Iberian Peninsula map should be about a 50x50 map. The core attacks from the north while the Italians go for Spanish Marocco. Perhaps for SS-GTPG i will add Vichy France to the equation.

An interesting discussion about a what if scenario, about an Iberian involvement in WW2.

One question, is there coming an invasion to Canda, NewZeland, Australia too?
