I was playing multi-player Road to Caen with user: TOTTOT
I was the Germans and, let's just say, I screwed up big time and with a few turns left I only had a mortar, and 2 mg teams.
Lot of good they'll do against a few Shermans and Bren Carriers.
So, on the last turn, I'm down to a SMG team that is suppressed in a fortification position. Their morale is maybe 0 or even in the negative (don't remember)
I inadvertently moved them one step forward, and next to a Sherman. The Sherman fires point blank, and my last 2-man mg team surrenders.
So, I try to press the Forward arrow ending my turn, no dice. Nothing happens.
I minimize the screen. Then maximize,...try again, nothing. Frozen.
Tried a few other things,..but no luck,..still frozen.
I even tried to surrender, but again,..no luck. Frozen.
I had to bring up Task Manager, kill the process, and then reload the game.
This time, I left the team in the fortified position and ended my turn.
May have just been a fluke,..but I thought that I'd mention it.
BTW, in case TOTTOT reads this,...you played it well in the beginning when I placed 3 of my armored vehicles next to each other, and next to a building that contained your hidden flamethrower. I deserved to lose after that fiasco.
Possible bug, when your last man surrenders?

I ran into this issue again last night.
Playing with KingT (I believe) he seriously whipped my butt. So, I'm down to my last tank (nothing else left), and he has me surrounded and suppressed. Now on my turn, there's not much I can do:
a. If I move I'm dead. One shot and my morale is so low, I'll surrender or be routed.
b. If I don't move, (can't fire,.I'm suppressed) and end my turn,.all my opponent needs to do is sneeze on my last tank and I'll die.
I pick a.
So I move, he fires, and my tank is dead. Now I'm frozen. I can't end turn. But I can click on the Options buttons. I also can't surrender,...I can't do anything to end this turn.
So, I had to bring up Task Manager and kill the game, then reload it,..then re-download my turn,.watch the prior turn again and there's my last suppressed tank.
This time I surrender.
I also got an e-mail stating that I downloaded this turn more than once. (well, yes, I had to)

Re: Possible bug, when your last man surrenders?
Yeah - we have found and fixed this bug. It is pretty rare, although you seem to have had it twice!
We will roll it out in an update, but we are mid update currently, and so it will need to wait until the next one unfortunately. It only occurs on certain missions, and when your last man is killed by reaction fire from the enemy, AND there are more enemies waiting to fire on the target.
As you discovered, the workaround is to replay the turn and surrender. Don't worry about the email, all these cheat reports are also checked by real people and we check the game instances and so are aware of the situation.

Awesome! I'll keep a look out for that update when it comes.
I'll just remember to surrender if I'm in that situation again.
Heck I guess in real life,...I suppose that IS the smart thing to do.
