Wish the paratroopers could engage quicker: one turn (at least) to get to the LZ, one turn to drop, and it is only on the third turn that they may discharge their weapons. By that time, my ground forces have the capability to be at the same spot. Solution: have the game allow flight and drop on same turn. Not allow combat until the following turn of course. Real world drops do not take nearly as long as the flight time to the target area. When I was aircrewing, used to lean out the side door

I have to concur with you on your manly/macho statement... we were not in harm's way nearly as often as you. Yet one cannot get to the LZ without us wing nut transporters. As far as the better branch, let it be said that we suffered too: in single room dorms or hotel rooms with 3 hot squares every day. And terms like "formation" and "parade were relegated to some distant memory of basic training. Oh, how we suffered.
Night jumps sound risky ("What the... is that a tree I am descending into?") and I thought it was bad in the 141 being last in formation and dealing with the severe turbulence...
