Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
I have lost a whole page of posts....anyone else have this problem? Oh yeah, I also have lost my password on the game section (though it works on here...strange)
Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
The forums lost a whole bunch of stuff, they were down due to a script error a few hours ago.
Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
Would that have anything to do with my password getting on Multi-player? password is gone and just says error 1 with no chance to reset it?
Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
Probably. I'm sure it'll be fixed at some point. It was impossible to access either the site or the multiplayer lobby when it was down, and as I said, some 24 hours worth of messages were lost. Which kinda annoys me since I wrote several long well thought posts which are now gone.
It's not like I can get to the multiplayer lobby at the moment either.

Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
I'm keen to do my bit for the Senate. "superior est bellum pugnare in mensam"* as they say.
Is it true we still don't have an answer for Q2
[* had to go with "it's better to fight a war on a table" because there is no Latin word for "PC"]

Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
Announcement by the Roman Senate:
Important incoming messages from Bithynia do allow no further delay!
Due to the series of Roman defeats on the battlefields of Bithynia, Prusias dethroned the legal ruler Nicomedes, took him as a political hostage and declared war on Rome! Our allies, who already proved to be unreliable, hailed Prusias as the new King. Our Legions retreated for safety to the naval base, Cyzigus, north of Pergamon. Meanwhile the Roman Fleet arrived and reinforced our legions with recruits and veterans from Italia.
Prusias confirmed his alliance with the Cilicians and the Galatians.
Two contingents of Galatia, one from Cilicia and the Rebell – Bithynian contingent are approaching Cyzigus. Our 3 reinforced Legions under command of Legatus Batesmotel, Grudgebringer and Burinus Agricolae will be assisted by Praetor Keyth who will most probably reach Cyzigus tomorrow. The Cilician Fleet has been sighted south of Byzantium, our fleet left the base to intercept them.
In Judea, King Seleucus VII Philometor engaged two roman legions.
Two additional legions will reinforce our forces tomorrow. They´ll be under command of Legatus Turk1964 and Legatus Rexhurley.
-SPQR-
1. Praetor Keyth 12 pts (Governor of the Province Asia ) - donated 3 pts to the Roman Fleet -Commander Legio VI - Asia
2. Legatus Kilroy 9 pts Commander Legio IV / Judea
3. Legatus Batesmotel 7 pts Commander Legio II / Asia
4. Legatus Grudge Bringer 4 pts Commander Legio I / Asia
5. Legatus Burinus Agricolae 1pts Commander Legio III Asia
6. Legatus Supervark 0 pts Commander Legio V / Judea
7. Legatus Turk1964 0 pts Commander Legio VII / Judaea
8. Legatus Rexhurley 0 pts Commander Legio VIII / Judea

Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
I was just now able to log in successfully but found that all my current games have disappeared. So it seems we'll be starting over.
Keyth, Batesmotel, GrudgeBringer and BurinusAgricolae, I'll be issuing four new challenges, using 3 different armies that reflect the new political situation decribed in Demetrios' last communique from the Senate. One challenge will be issued using the new Bithynian army (actually an Early Pontic army), two with the Galatians, and one with the Cilician (actually a Slave army). I guess it will be first-come, first serve.

Re: CRISIS OF THE REPUBLIC TOURNAMENT / Roman Senate
ATTENTION
Announcement of the Senate of Rome:
To share the power even with the poor, the Senate of Rome hereby restores the Tribunes of the Popular Party. Hereby Tullius, Tiavals and Fedem are assigned as Tribunes.
Tribunes will be awarded 3 pts for every new player they recruit for the tournament. Additionally they are in command of street gangs that fight for control of the city.
At the moment the control over the slave market of Ostia is at stake.
The Tribunes have to challenge each other, means two games each, the winner controls the slave market of Ostia and benefits from every roman victory by 1 bonus point.
An army image for use in these street clashes will be send by email.
