Infomtion Required Please

Post by david53 »

Hi All

Just thinking of looking at FOG N, can someone give me a clue on the followinmg.

1. Are units made up as regiments as in FOG R ie 6 bases being a regiment?

2. Is it going to be worked out on a points value per army ie 800 points.

3. Looking at a Spainish force any idea when their army list will be ready.

regards

Dave

From information in various threads on this forum:

1. Yes, they will be. Infantry and cavalry in BG of 4-6 bases and artillery in BG of 2-3 bases.
2. I would presume so.
3. The main rule book is supposed to have some basic army lists in it, but I don't know if that will include a Spanish list. There will be two army list books, the first released in June which will cover the later Napoleonic period (1809-15) but will exclude the Peninsular war. The second is supposed to be released later this year and it will include the earlier period (1792-1808) plus the Peninsular war.

Hi Dave,

I have a Spanish army 1809 got to add 3 or 4 units to make it to 800pts at this time it is round about 600 to 650 pts, and I also have a British Peninsular army with Portuguese allies
well over 800pts in total mate.
Yours in the Hobby "CB"

The rule book contains 8 lists:
1812 France, Britain, Russia, Spain & Turkey.
1813: France, Austria and Prussia.

So we use the 1812 French in Russia list to fight in the pennisula? Could be a shock for the spanish to find themselves on the russian plains.

The list in the rulebook are 'generic' lists. They are in the rulebook so that anyone buying the it can get a flavour of what a 'typical' army of the period will contain - without having to spend additional money on the army list books. They will be superceded by the army list books when they come out.
Of course there will be sererate lists for the Peninsular campaign and additional lists for the 1812 campaign, (plus every other campaign from 1792-1815).
