how many cannons

Just want to make sure that I am reading the Later Imperial Spanish list from Wars of Religion correctly.
Under Artillery it says: Medium guns 2,3or 4
Heavy guns 2
then at the end under total bases is a big box that says 2-6.

So am I correct that I can take a single 2 gun battery of heavy guns, or even 2 or 3 such batteries, as long as they only have 2 guns each? That's how I see it, quite different from the standard 2 minimum Med gun batteries other armies have in this book.
