Do intercepting fighters burn oil? If so, same rate? Thanks.

Yes. Sometimes. They burn oil at the same rate as an "unintercepted" fighter, or bomber, attacking a target. An intercepted plane attacking a target burns double the oil as an unintercepted one.

Thanks RKR - I was just posting to say that I answered the question myself with a hotseat but didn't check about your second point.

Follow up question. Does an aircraft attacking burn the same oil as the same aircraft if it was just relocating via a flight, i.e.. not rail?

Thanks!

I just hotseated that and the answer is yes - you can find how much oil is burned per move on the purchase chart - 2 for a 1940 FTR, either while relocating or a bombing run. But, if the FTR is intercepted while on a bombing run it burns 4 as per RKR's comment.
