Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
That's why I called it that name: Ronald Reagan called the USSR 'the evil empire' and in the scenario they are striking back like in the movie. I amaze myself with my cleverness sometimes!
Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
You've already in the RSM Redux, three Jeep sound movements (Willys_1, Willys_2, and Willys_3). If you want, you can use them instead of the M8 Greyhound sound.
Do you want me to take a look and make small adjustments, in case I found them of course?

/bump. If anyone has any feedback on this campaign, I am interested to hear it.

I dl-ed it, but hadn't time to play these days. I guess I'll come back to this when I got my mod released

Condor Man, this is a total blast! But just a little ticked for now I have to decide whether to press on to Berlin which means ditching my date tonight and face insurrection on the dame front or forgo the attack ... if only this scenario was a dud...
Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
Hello,
I was able to play your very first version of your campaign with version 1.02 but not this one under v 1.05.
I use version 1.05 and GME (with the correct order Land pack + RSM + Red Dawn data)
I have the message: "cannot start game because the required content package is missing"
In My documents\My games\Panzer Corps\Mods: Red Dawn Campaign\Data
In Games\Panzer Corps\Mods, I have well:
* Land Pack
* Real Sound Mod
* Red Dawn data
In Red Dawn data I have:
* Data
* Graphics
* UI
Thx for helping!
I played USMC campaign without problem! Strange I have problems with Red Dawn.

Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
I just reinstalled the campaign from scratch to check your issue and unfortunately (maybe?) everything worked as it should.
What you describe above seems all OK so I am at a loss to suggest why you are having the problem. If you try it with only the Red Dawn stuff (no sound mod, no land mod) same thing?

That usually indicates that scenario was made during 1.04 and with its editor. So people who haven't DLC 39' or DLC 40' can't play.I have the message: "cannot start game because the required content package is missing"
Unless El_Condoro remade all the scenario(s) from the scratch with 1.05. Of course you can always send them to Alex, but he must be busy now.
Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
I have no DLC (even if I am beta tester and in this case DLCs are in a separate directory, anyway I tested DLC 41, 43, 44 and 45, neither 39 nor 40), just the vanilla/standard campaign.
Yes same problem without land and RSM Redux mods.
Sad I have to forget this campaign. Hopefully I have an old panzer corps with the very 1st Red Dawn campaign using v 1.02 of the game...

puuuhh....fair enough that I came pretty late and made the PzC East Map already with 1.5. It would really suck huge balls if I spent a 100 or so hours on the map and then the baby wont work...VPaulus wrote:That usually indicates that scenario was made during 1.04 and with its editor. Like I've said Alex, offered help in that regard.
Stay tuned Robert. Maybe El_Condoro will send those scenarios.

Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
I have broken Red Dawn out from the historical campaign and will review it all in coming months. It won't happen for a while, though.
It's very possible (probable) that I created some of the scenarios prior to 1.05. If I open them in the 1.05 editor and do a save as will that fix the problem or is it more complex than that?

OK this is not a piece of cake:

I do not think El Condoro will have the envy to do this, I would be rather dissapointed if I were him.
But how can we explain then I am alone with this problem, how can players playtest El Condoro's campaign ?

Then later:Well, the result speaks for itself. It does not matter what version you are using to play a game, if scenario file is wrong, it is wrong with any version. To make long story short, I suggest to send the scenario file to me (rudankort@rsdn.ru), then I can check it and fix if necessary.
This needs a complete redesign of the campaign or at least for some 1st scenarios because the scenarios were created with the old editor.The bad news is any scenarios that were saved with the bad editor can't be fixed with this new editor - the damage is already done. You need to revert to scenarios that were edited in v1.02.

Like I've said before, if he send those scenarios to Rudankort he will probably fix them. Probably it isn't hard to fix.RobertCL wrote:This needs a complete redesign of the campaign or at least for some 1st scenarios because the scenarios were created with the old editor.

That's easy. I bet that most people bought the DLC's.RobertCL wrote:But how can we explain then I am alone with this problem, how can players playtest El Condoro's campaign ?

I have emailed Alex/Rudankort and will await his suggestion.
Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
Hi Von Paulus,
I am slow to understand, sorry: what's the link with the DLCs ?
The fact that the old editor was used to create the scenarios has nothing to do with the presence of the extra official campaigns, it does not change the design of the Red Dawn campaign done with v 1.2...
On the forum it was cleary said that no matter the game version of Pz Corps was used to play (like v 1.5 with or without the presence of DLCs), the problem remains present because the editor of version 1.5 should have been used instead of the editor of version 1.2.

Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
The editor was changed to encrypt scenario files to protect the DLC scenarios. The older scenarios are not recognized due to not having this encryption. That's my understanding, anyway.
Re: Red Dawn 2.00 (*NEW* Feb 2012)
So scenarios created after the publication of the DLCs (a question of timeline in fact) -so with scenario editor v 1.5- will work perfectly.
The presence or not of the DLCs in game directory is not linked.
But the scenarios were created before this period of time (appaearance of DLCs), so your campaign should not work at all (and I should not be alone in that case).
If your scenarios were created before the encryption changes in the scenario editor (in order to protect the DLCs BTW), the problem should be there for everyone.
Thx anyway for your answers , patience and help.
