DMP Modding (Afrikakorps)

Good Grief it was not!

c:/Games/Afrika Korps
All 5 files are there, and to be extra sure, I also put them in
c:/Games/Afrika Korps/Afrika Korps

It STILL does not work, and this is the 4th reinstall

Can you give me some useful advice on how to fix this?

You still didn't say what was the error message exactly.
Anyway those five files must be copied to C:\Games\Afrika Korps\Afrika Korps
And you'll have to execute C:\Games\Afrika Korps\Afrika Korps\PanzerCorps.exe
Double click on that file.
Tell me please, is the data folder on C:\Games\Afrika Korps\Afrika Korps\Data ?

That is the error I get when I get when I use PanzerCorps.exe.

if I user Autorun.exe, I get the "missing data file" error.

the Data directory is in C:\Games\Afrika Korps\Afrika Korps\Data.

Are you sure you're executing PanzerCorps.exe from the second Afrika Korps folder?
That message indicate that you're trying to execute PanzerCorps.exe from a folder where you don't have the right files to launch it.

Can we try to do a different approach? Uninstall Afrika Korps.
Run installer, but this time, choose a different path. Use C:\Games\AK
Then copy these files from the original main folder Panzer Corps folder to C:\Games\AK\Afrika Korps
PanzerCorps.exe
PanzerCorps.TXT
autorun.exe
panzer_launcher.exe
ScenarioEditor.exe
They have to be there.
Then execute C:\Games\AK\Afrika Korps\PanzerCorps.exe

And by the way, I'm not used to give up. So if you don't want to give up, we will end up in succeeding in installing it one way or another.
I know you're Ameircan, so you're in a different time zone than I. But I'll still be here in the next 2 hours.

I uninstalled AK, and reinstalled it exactly as you requested, after DLing a fresh copy of all 3 files. Running it from the second directory, using C:\Games\AK\Afrika Korps\PanzerCorps.exe, to which I had added all 5 files, I am still getting the HTML error. Your add-on is broken, and you need to fix it. I an running Win 7 Pro, if that helps.

#1) DMP is not a Slitherine add-on. It's not even one from this particular community. It was made by the DMP Team. VPaulus is not part of the DMP Team....thus it's not his add-on

#2)No one else has had this much difficulty trying to run this mod. While that in itself is not a unique or big deal,problems crop up and a procees must be followed to determine the problem,it's annoying,but it's like going to the doctor and or hospital .They ask you numerous questions send you for numerous tests and then they figure out what the problem is.

3)DROP THE ATTITUDE. THERE IS NO ONE HERE WHO IS A NICER GUY AND DOES MORE FOR THIS COMMUNITY THAN VPAULUS,,SO DROP THE ARROGANT AND CONDESENDING ATTITTUDE. HE'S HELPING YOU OUT OF KINDNESS.

Nah, it's working well. I've just installed in a Windows 7 Professional X64 and it runs perfectly.
In my view or you're doing something wrong, or something is wrong with your system.
If it was broken it wouldn't run on me and on the computers of the 2500 people who have download it.
It's logic to assume that the issue is in your side.
Maybe you should try their official forum and ask for help over there:

I downloaded Winterkrieg and installed it with no problem. But i am having getting into flow of the game. I guess not to interested in Finland fighting the Russian invasion.Does it get better as the War progresses? But I love the Africakorps.

Just installed both Afrika & Winter. Both work great! I was finally able to "join" the german website.
Just followed the basic instructions and even added the Hakaristi (swastika) for Finnish forces in Winterkrieg mod.

You should set up the game in c:/users/ your name/documents/games setup the mod then copy the 5 files . it will work

I guess some of the problems when installing could be that the DAK-installer is set to the programx86 dir, changing that dir did the trick for me.

But this mod is very good, and harder than most of the DLC:s at higher levels

My only problem is that the strategic map don't work in some of the big-map scenarios like Kairo and Suez ...I can see the units but the map is pitch black Not really a big deal, but a little annoying to scan manually for the victory objectives (have a mini laptop which screen does't show the mini map unless i change resolution).

Looking forward for DMP:s newly anounced "Ostfront" campaign.

@ewhitsitt: DMP will do a major group of add-on's for the Eastern Front. They will cover all areas of the Eastern Front and I expect they will be very very good as always.

It should be, because some of the maps are extreme big. I encountered the situation, that I changed my video card from 256mb to an another one, which had 512mb and voila - the map has been showed. Cutting the map to smaller also helps.
