Yes imagine if you were playing one of the authors and he didn't notice that core rule

to be fair it caught us both by suprise, I don't realise until some time later. The Chariots were 6" away, it was only when we threw up 2 that we realised that they could contract. It wa just one of those moments. The surprise was only matched by when the Chariots lost and they realised that they hadn't left 1" to break off from steady foot, and fragged.

I like to think that this helped Terry on his way to victory!
