General left on is own

Post by KiwiWarlord »

Had a situation where a superior BG down to 2 bases with a General fighting in the front frank, is broken, loses a base to a death roll and is then caught in the pursuit losing the last base thus leaving the General on his own in contact with the pursuers. threw to kill the General and missed, there was a BG friendly to the General close by.
Question, Where did the General go, to the friendly unit or removed from play?
Thanks
Brian

If my addled brain remembers correctly if he can move to a nearby friendly unit he is placed there. Keep in mind you have to measure as if it was a regular move so he might have to move around the enemy and may not make it to friends. If he can not make it he is removed. If a general is by himself and is contacted by the enemy (even if they just move over him and don't stop) he is removed.
Page 69 last bullet right hand column deals with commander moves which I think also applies here.
