tested again on secondary laptop, same issue crc error
tested using IE/firefox for download, tested with install in safe mode,launch in safe mode

I'm not able to help beyond saying I have the same OS and the 1.06 update and DLC 43 both installed without problems for me. I did have Chrome give a "malicious" content message but so far everything is OK. The final download size of the 1.06 update is 524,210 and DLC 3,039 - did they download with that size for you?

Did you try installing the base game using the code you got when you bought the game?
If not try that.
Install base game with no add on patched to 1.05
Then try 1.06 with beta key
Then expansion with beta key
Let me know (crossing fingers!)

no matter what browser i use (FF/IE/chrome) i get a file with size 524.209, tested in normal , in safe mode, on 2 different laptops and using 2 different ISP

Yes, blitz might be right. I remember now what happened to him and how I came into the conclusion that could be induced by a bad registry key.
I would follow his instructions by the letter.

to my biggest ashame, i did not bought the game, i'm only playing the beta...
i've just made another test and i think there is a problem with the exe file stored on the server - i've created 3 vm's (xp, vista, 7) downloaded again in each vm the files and on all of them i have the same error.
since for the vm's i'm using one of the server hosting some 24/7 application, i exclude the hardware problems...
can someone help me with the good files? i can provide a ftp for you to upload..

Vpaulus found a registry key with mine where it was leaving the key area blank.
I have to remember where it was.
If you still have it installed, search the registry for slitherine You should see an area for key.
See if it has your beta key in.
If it is blank that is your problem.
Vpaulus may have the more specific registry area to look I cannot remember..

You can't play Beta without having an original, as far as I know.
That is most certainly why the CRC error appear.

Yes in looking I still have my original installed. That may be the issue. Is this the first time you have played the betas?

i've played the first campaing beta, but it think i had the RC2 installed at that point... now since i had a clean os, no trace of the old RC2

In looking at my registry, I have my purchased license key for the game and then my beta for the dlc.

Ian, I assume you'll want everyone to restart with the new beta build? (I'm still only on Orel, so this won't be a big problem for me, though it might be an issue for those who are further along in the campaign.)

Yes I think that is best or the feedback will be inaccurate as its based on a core force that was created on the old missions not the new ones so you might have more or less stuff.
