ceaw display problem mac

I am having a problem with commander europe at war which i just bought. the whole screen doesn't show. anyone seen this before; know how to fix it? the display shows good from the top all the way down to about halfway through the command bar at the bottom of the screen. I looked at the manual and saw pictures of what the display should look like. for instance, my screen shows no odds calculator for battle (4:3, etc.) there is no window to resize that i can see. ??????

i'm running a powerbook g4 if that matters. it is small. but why should that matter?
also i don't know how to "you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. as stated in faq. i have a screenshot to show what i mean if that would be helpful.

Unfortunately we didnt develop the Mac versions and so can't offer much help on the technical side. Maybe other Mac players can help you with this issue but I dont know what to suggest. Sorry I can't help.

Hi,

With a powerbook G4 you need to have leopard 10.5.8 plus max ram and max graphics memory. You need to set your resolution to 1024 by 768.

This does not have the horsepower to run the game quickly. You need to turn off the music and sound effects. It will run very slow.

We really push the java and youu need at least an intel running 10.6 or 10.7 to have a good game experience.

thanks for your reply. i have 10.4.11, and 768 RAM. the game actually runs pretty well for about an hour and then it slows waaaaay down. however, restarting gets it back up to speed. how do i set the resolution? that might work!

ok figured out the resolution deal it is already at 1024x768. hmm. any other ideas? i find this to be quite odd. why can't i just scroll down? very strange.

Hide the dock for one. If you are playing against the AI the game will slow down. Are you playing CEAW or CEAW-GS?

yeah i wasn't able to upload the screenshot to this forum. playing ceaw. ceaw-gs is really slow- that's for sure.
