Shock troops

Post by nosher »

Shock troops in Fog R need to pass a simple CMT to Charge unlike in FoG Ancients where they can charge without taking a CMT - yes/no?

What other differences are there relating to shock troops in FoG ren from Fog Ancients? As far as i can see

Cheers in advance :D

Erm, not quite. Shock troops can charge whilst DISR without first passing a CMT in FoGR. That's about it as far as I can see.

There are no involuntary charges in FoGR.

I believe shock troops can keep their opponents from making a voluntary break off, so you can hold them in melee against their will.

Only thing I think shock foot would need to test is to charge mounted not on a flank/rear charge.

I believe they can charge as they please otherwise, unless fragged then no charges can be made

Cheers Chaps - sadly I am even more confused now

They have to pass a CMT to charge when steady but not when disrupted?

They can charge as they please unless fragged?

Polar opposites?

Also intrigued by keeping opponents from making voluntary break offs... will need to look again!

Probably time to re-read the rules :)

Shock troops do not have to test to charge - other troops have to test to charge if Disrupted.

Had another re-read and can see where I have been mis-interpreting this. Hopefully i now have it right as follows:

CMT's are only required to charge in certain circumstances such as when foot have a threated flank...

This is what happens when you dont game a specific system regularly  I'm mixing up my rule sets again
