After Sealion...

Post by alex0809 »

I am pretty sure there will be more expansions for Battle Academy. I am also sure the Developers have very concrete plans already but I would still like to know what you would like as a new expansion.
Eastern front? More Western Front? Pacific Front even maybe? Or something completely different?

Personally, there's two conflicts without Germany as one side that I'd really like for a change: Spanish Civil War or Finnish Winter War (Finnish Winter War could then lead to a Barbarossa expansion)

I'd prefer the pacific and then east front.

Expansions

Post by khill9702 »

I don't know if Slitherine posted anything official yet about the next expansion but Pip hinted at it being Italy. I think there is a lot that can be done with this game, its very fun, simple and addictive. If they do another western European theater expansion maybe pacific or east front could be an entirely new Battle Academy at some point in the future.

Pacific and Eastern. Also like the idea of a Finnish Winter War...

Indeed Sea lion does not inspire me most, but landing in the Phillipines and kicking Mac Arthur out does! I would like to fight action in China and Burma too. Those are quite unknown and unusual setting (jungle and mountain). The finnish war is a good idea too (we need sniper (white death, the russian used artillery barrage to take him out at the end and failed)).

Don't know about you guys but I would love to see the Eastern front covered before the pacific. It just kinda follows the real event more
Plus I would love to play the big Russian tanks LOL

The point is that the russian front is very big and it has been done over and over again. Italian front is easier to do and Pacific is less cover at this scale (especially China/Burma) so the will give more added value.

I would prefer Russian front cause of a lot of new units like cavalry :)
New bonus could too be done like reinforcement (i call bonus 150 mm bombing and others) reinforcement could be a bonus which come in 2 or 3 turns and give some more infantry.
It is so big
the question is a new game (stand alone ?) an early invasion (barbarossa when playing germans)or later and then russian going to berlin.i don t know really what i want

I wouldn't mind early WWII, cavalry, light tanks, old planes.

Also, the Pacific would rock. Some purely naval battles would be fun, too!

Two words come to mind:

Guadal
Canal

:D

Everything you could want all conveniently located on one island. Infantry, armour, support weapons, amphibious landings, boats, infiltration, Banzai attacks, night fighting. And that doesn't include the air and naval battles, reinforcement and supply problems and the action at Tulagi.

The Philippines (both sides, early and late war) would be great too. :)

I'd like to play the old Avalon Hill Panzerblitz game scenarios on Battle Academy.

Arab Isreali Wars scenarios would also be fun.
