Gmax exporter

Post by tim1966 »

My very clever brother has adapted the Max exporter so it works for the free app Gmax :D

You can download the files you need here - Gmax_exporter

There's a readme in the files to tell you how it all works. Hopefully we will see some new and interesting vehicles etc!

Awesome! I guess as the S3F format is text it would work - nice! Hopefully should be more compatible with our reference models than other modelling software, especially with the animation.

Cheers

bumped ....

I built the Hetzer using Blender, but I checked out GMax ...

This is very usefull and Tim's brother wrote a tutorial (PDF) that explains how to get up and running with ease (included in exporter download).

Gmax Exporter

Post by Anyman »

WOW :!: Hey tim1966 next time you and your brother out by Yelm WA the beer is on me  I have Gmax and now 3DS Max (second hand) as a recent gift. I am way more proficient in Gmax as I have made many models for Auran Trainz Simulator with it. I know 3DS Max is similar but it's like going from a diesel locomotive to a steam locomotive. There is a hell of a lot more gauges and levers to contended with. Besides I find texturing in Gmax easier than 3DS Max.

So enough rambling, thank you very much :!:
