GS 2.0 probable bug - Upgrades

Post by Murf09 »

I wanted to check and see if anyone else had noticed any bugs when upgrading units. I currently have several TACs and Armour that are the same upgrade level but don't have the same shock number, attack value, etc. Curiously they have the same upgraded icon but don't seem to have the same upgrated attributes.

Thanks for any help/advice

Check the weather in the hex each unit is located in. The values drop if the weather is not fair.

That was it, weather. In one instance I specifically remembered, the fighters were adjacent to one another in Sicily. I went back and checked, and one was in a "rough" area during winter while the other was not. I knew weather affected combat values but didn't realize they adjusted on screen.

Thanks for your help. I'm excited about GS, so much so I have returned to CEaW after being gone for two years or more. Kudos to everyone who has worked on it. I look forward to playing some multi-player when I finish "wargaming" for practice.

Thanks again!

Hi,
The next update v2.1 when available, besides lowering the values, will be color coded depending upon the weather that is present in the hex.

Currently the colors are Brown for mud, Lt. Blue for winter, and a Dark grey for Severe winter in the East weather zone.

Thats a great modification. I'm really looking forward to 2.1 and hope it comes out before the end of the month. :)

It won't come out that fast. First we need help from Slitherine with the installer.
