Wrong language

I downloaded the English version but keep getting the German one when running it. Maybe this has to do with the fact that I earlier purchased (by mistake) the German CD, although I disinstalled the latter? I'm on Windows 7. Is there a way to switch languages?

Uninstalling should have removed all the settings information. Try uninstalling and installing again. If that doesn't work then we can try and do it by hand.

Just to be clear, you don't have a languages button on the top right of the screen on the main game menu?

Thanks for advice. I did disinstall again and wiped out every remaining file, reinstalled and, presto, there was the language button on top right of screen.
