French Carrier

How about adding a French carrier in Nov-1942 at strength 1-2?

That's when the French carrier Béarn left Martinique and rejoined the Allies.

Granted, it was obsolete, but it would be kind of fun to have in the mix.

Hmmm....

My honest reaction upon reading this was, "Oh, great. Another free 'fighter' for the Allies. Like they need it. [grumble, grumble]"

Seriously, adding this unit might be fun, as you say, but in effect, since it could rather easily be repaired/upgraded to full strength, in effect it adds another non-obsolete carrier to the Allied force pool, and that tips the balance even more in favor of the Allies. (OTOH, if the latest version of the game really does appear to be unbalanced in favor of Germany, then your proposal might be one way to resolve that problem.)

I tend to agree. And this carrier was pretty much useless – being used entirely to ferry aircraft.

Just an interesting historical footnote, really.
