Spartan not playing
Spartan no worky worky. I bought the game awhile ago and it worked but i just reinstalled it cause i feel like playing it and it not working. It loads up the screen where i hit play game then never does anything after that, i have direct x installed and i deleted the movies so help me

well i dont really know much of what your talking about. i downloaded the 1017 patch or whatever it was called, (the US graphsim one) and how do i find out the sound card and graphics because this used to be my moms and now its mine, and mine was the one i had played it on before but this computer is faster and stuff.

If you right click on the desktop, choose properties, then the settings tab at the top of the popup, it should display the name of your graphics card. You can then go to the manufacturer's website to download the latest drivers.
One thing you can try, to determine whether the sound is causing a problem, is to run with the sound off. Go to the directory that the game installed to, open the DATA folder then open USER.TXT. Add the following line to the file, then save it.
NOSOUND 1
Then try running the game and seeing if it allows you to play.

But can you be more specific on how it is crashing - are you seeing the main menu screen after the movies? Does it immediately crash?

You could try renaming teh movies dir & that will stop the movies playing, or you coudl try adding "NoSound 1" to the user.txt file in the data dir. This will turn off sound as some cards have caused problems with the sound system we used. If you're happy playing on your brothers PC, then don't worry!
