USA joining war

Post by Redpossum »

In the game I am currently playing, the USA didn't enter the war until the first turn of 1942.

Here is a downloadable zip of a save file from Nov 29 1941

Seems one turn too late to me as well. My biggest question though is the pathetic amount of Production the USA has. I know their war effort is low at the beginning, but even maxed out, production seems pretty low. I can only assume the US production is factored into the Convoys to the UK and USSR. At this rate though, and the high UK manpower, it looks like the UK will be the prime player in the war in the west, not the US. :?

Yes, we abstracted some of it through convoys. USA in fact has very little losses normally so I often see USA land with doussins of Corps on D-Day.

OK, Johann, I got the link working.

There's a downloadable save in the first post of this thread. Load that sucker up, hit End, and you'll see the USA doesn't enter the war until January 1942.

Thanks for the quick answer Johan. I will see if you are correct. In my PBEM game, the US just entered the war. Although I have minor complaints, I am greatly enjoying the game though and looking forward to the patch.

They join in December 1941 on Allied end of turn, but then the date shifts to January and it is Axis turn again. Major countries join end of their side's turn so the enemy moves first on them. Just a technical definition really
