Need AAR data on fate of Axis after Italy falls

Gang,

It is my hypothesis that in games where Italy surrenders at or before the historical surrender date (Sept. 1943) this means nearly certain doom for the Axis (i.e. Axis loses the game).

Can anybody report back on their actual game results, please? Has anybody out there participated in a game (GS 2.0 or later) where a) Italy capitulated in 1943 and yet b) the Axis won the game? If so, please weigh in, and share any details you may have.
