Please advise procedure to include units in extension pack into Editor mode. I created a new folder for the new extension, but new extension pack units were not available in the list of fixed units that could be included. Only the basic game units were offered. Is some additional action required?

I would suggest copying the whole france campaign folder and using that as a starting point (although you will be playing as the Axis at that point, so you would need to set up the SIDES.TXT file as you want).
Copying the whole folder will give you access to the map objects from the france campaign too.
Cheers
Pip

I have carried out your instructions and am now able to build Blitzkreig France units in Editor mode. The problem is that once built there is no "real game" Campaign folder available when I try to play the game. When I create one in advance it leads me every time to Editor options that only include the normal basic game units (ie not the Blitzkreig units). The complete absence of any manual or instructions about how to do this is a major disincentive to purchase any other extensions. Can you advise how to resolve this please. Please keep in mind that my computer skills are extremely limited. I have read "How To: Create a simple Campaign" but this does not tie in the Blitzkreig editor at all. Perhaps you can set out a step by step system to achieve the Bliztkreig units into a Campaign folder.

For "real game campaign folder" read "campaign folder. Sorry for any confusion; this was just to indicate that I was away from Editor mode.
Using just the basic game I have been able to create a campaign folder with scenarios and play the game with no trouble. My problem is that I am unable to do this with the Blitzkreig units. I have tried on many occasions but have been unable to do so. Possibly my method is wrong. This is why it would be helpful if you set out a step by step system.
thanking you in advance.

jjmcnick,
What you need is a Blitzkreig template. This is a user scenario folder that contains all the elements (files) to start scenario design.
Unfortunately, this template has to be manually created by you. The editor (as you noted), supports the basic game.
There are a few routes you can take to build this Blitzkreig template folder.
Pip mentioned copying over the folder called "4France" from your main game campaign folder. This contains the entire France campaign with all the elements (files).
At that point, when you start the Editor you have to load the campaign ... shown as CAMPAIGNS/4FRANCE in the editor.
Now, the problem is that you don't want to edit the campaign, you want to start fresh, that is, blank maps with a unit data base (squads.csv and unit textures).
This is the part that requires you to delete files you don't need ... this is a pain since you don't know what to delete to "clean up" the user campaign folder.
The other method to create a template folder is to create a new campaign (in the editor), then copy/paste all the elements from the 4France folder. Again, a pain since you don't know what files you need to get going. This is the point that I believe you are at.
I think the easiest thing to do is have Pip build you a Blitzkreig template and PM you the campaign folder so you can unzip to your user campaign folder and create scenarios.
I wish the editor could do all this for you ... I've mentioned to Slitherine about having a 3rd Party Editor program that a user can run from the main menu and with simply "clicks" it can build a template folder for you. There's too much guess work when building scenarios, especially when creating one from an expansion.

Hello again Rob
Thank you for your welcome information. Yes please, do ask Pip to build me the Blitzkreig template and "PM" (sorry I don't know what "PM" means; kindly explain) me the campaign folder. Sorry, can you also explain what you mean by "UNZIP to your user campaign folder and create scenarios"
I have also purchased the Arnhem (Market garden)"add on" module. Can you please repeat the exercise for this also.
Regards
JJ McNick

Hello jjmcnick,
I'm sorry, I got distracted with other things.
The term "PM" means Private Message. See the top of this forum for the area shown as "Private Messages". I will send you a PM and you can see how it works. The Private Messages area will indicate a new message with a (#), showing how many you have. Clicking on that will bring you to the private message area which works the same as this forum.
The term "ZIP" is a file extension that is used by Windows to compress files for downloading. It's simply a "container" that the files are dropped into and expanded from. To give you an example .... goto my QuickBattles thread ...
viewtopic.php?t=28686
You can see my campaigns available in ZIP format to download.
Simply click the link and follow the prompts to download to your machine.
Then, locate the file and doubleclick on it.
This will open the ZIP and show you the contents.
You can then copy/paste the contents to any folder ... (SOLO version example) \Documents\My Games\BBCBA\CAMPAIGNS
Start BA and find the campaign, then play!!
What I can do is create a template for you because Pip is awefully busy.
I will PM you a download link and you can "unzip" this into your \Documents\My Games\BBCBA\CAMPAIGNS folder.
Then, you can design a new scenario from scratch using the editor.
Give me a moment to create a template and PM you the link ... Sound good?

Why don't put the template as a public download, many of us have started the editor and drop out because found a lot of problems and missing information manuals. What I can do is create a template for you because Pip is awefully busy.
Also I tried your Trackhit and other of your scenarios. I found very interesting these new features, great job Merr, thank you.

Yes ... I can do that instead. I'll post it in a new "How-To" thread and include a download that will get you started. I'll create one BAM (scenario file) with just scenery objects and you'll have to place the units and/or use the Plugin stuff to kick start the scenario.enric wrote: Why don't put the template as a public download, many of us have started the editor and drop out because found a lot of problems and missing information manuals.
I'll also post a link to this here so you won't get lost in the shuffle of threads.
I should be able to slap something tonight within the next 6 hours ... It's quite easy to do and the folder structure is the same for the other modules (MG, and SL). It won't take me 6 hours to build ... I'm allowing for any distractions (usually takes less than 15 minutes really, but I can't do it right now).
