Disbanding units

Post by jaywalker32 »

A quick question: Is there any in-game way to disband units? I sometimes wish I could get rid of some of the units I have and use their value towards creating other, more strategically useful, units.

Hey, good question. I was wondering the same thing myself. I don't think its possible but it would be nice.

Well it was worth a shot. Maybe thats something they could add in the next update but I fear it may be a hard thing to code.

In the same vein, I've always thought combining two lower strength units into one stronger unit would be a great option for this game, especially once manpower becomes a prevailing issue. The units would need to be of the same type, be adjacent to each other, and the reorganize-style action would be all they could do that turn, and should also temporarily reduce their effectiveness. Splitting a single unit into two half strength units would be another similar type of action that might be considered to mirror options the real world commanders had for reorganization decisions.

Definitely more complex than disbanding units, but perhaps also worth some consideration for a future version of GS.

If they can do that, it would be a good addition.
