All,
Is there some sort of user created strategy guide out there?
I just got the game and I can only get a marginal victory in Poland so any tips would be appreciated
Thx

Does a strategy guide exist or some tips for a newbie?

You can look at the the stick "Common Questions" while it doesn't answer directly to your question it offer some answers for questions you might have.
Also take a look at AAR's section of the forum, specifically to the "The Diary of Herr Pferdmann" thread, a nice AAR.

Thanks, I read through the common questions but didn't see that AAR and will look at it nowVPaulus wrote:You can look at the the stick "Common Questions" while it doesn't answer directly to your question it offer some answers for questions you might have.

If I do not get a DV in Poland, will I still get to Norway at some point?
Thx

Take a look at the campaign tree in the sticky "Common Questions"

Without a DV you'll not go to Norway.
I don't know in what level you're playing, but try to play in a lower level of difficulty in the beginning. It will help you to enter in the game more easily.
I can offer three suggestions, I wouldn't say tips, because not all the people play PzC the same way.
Use mass attack (surround the enemy unit which you want to attack with one extra unit), shell (bombard) the enemy unity before attacking with ground forces ( a good sequence is, shell-attack-shell-attack...) and use reinforcements (try to avoid the use of elite reinforcements in the beginning).

I was always using elite reinforcments in the game but will just use regular ones
It would be stupid indeed if it was hard, but it's quite easy. I'm sure most of players, will disagree with you.Naxor wrote:It is almost impossible to get dv in Poland which is stupid because its first scenario in main campaign.
You'll have to adjust your gameplay. Read that AAR, that I've mentioned, and test different tactics. Those suggestions I gave should be suffice to win with a DV.
@Naxor - You need to be familiarise yourself with the game mechanics. Not having played Panzer General, I wasn't sure of how to play Panzer Corps. But I started out the stock campaign at the easiest level (Sgt) to familiarise myself with the game mechanics and not having to worry about the AI bashing my head in. But Sgt Difficulty Level is too easy, its like a walk-through actually. After completing the campaign, I replayed at Field Marshall difficulty and it was (by my standards) difficult but highly enjoyable.
Now playing DLC '39 at FM difficulty and enjoying it tremendously. I think one should play at whatever difficulty level that suits their play. I mean there are now higher difficulty levels available for me like Guderian, Manstein and Rommel, but I will continue at FM level as it suits me.
