Unable to Re-install

I had previously installed FOG and all of the first 6 add-ons and game was working fine. I then purchased Decline and Fall add-on and when I did I got error messages. I presented this problem to Matrix Games (issue ID 8278). They responded on 12/16/2012 (Christian Bassani) for me to uninstall FOG and all the add-ons, then reinstall FOG, then update it, and then reinstall the add-ons. If this did not work they advised me to come to Slitherene.

I followed their instructions and no matter what I do the game comes up showing version 1.01 on the screen with 21 battles. When I try the automatic update it does a download but advises me that I already have later version (1.71) installed. I've tried reinstalling FOG and the Decline and Fall (latest add-on) and get the same results. When I reinstall FOG and athen reinstall the add-ons in no particular order I end up with the same results. When I uninstall I use Windows Control Panel to do so.

What can I do to get FOG with all the add-ons installed and updated to version 1.71?

I solved the problem. I used my original FOG CD to load version 1.01. Then I updated to version 1.28 from the Slitherene web site. Once I installed version 1.28 I could then sttart the game and use the "Update" button to update. When I hit this button it stated I had 21 updates to download and install. The updater proceeded to install all 21 updates which included installing the 7 add-ons I had purchased.
