This brings up something I hadn't considered: it would be possible to have one player be Germany, another Italy, both playing cooperatively against the AI handling everything else. Or Western Allies for human1, USSR for human2, all others AI. Cool idea.
Yes - coop allows 2 players to split the nations any way they like and battle the AI. It's a gret way to teach peopel teh game. You take the Western Allies and they take the Soviets etc. Or you give them some of the minor western allies like Blegium & Holland so they are involved early on on the west front.
But there's no possibility to have more than 2 players in a scenario, say one playing Wallies, second USSR and the third Germany? Why wouldn't that work?
Are there any other differences between playing the game in single player vs the AI or PbEM? I seem to remember that someone mentioned, that certain things are not active, like options etc. but can't find it anymore.
Indeed you are right, the options (called as events), are disabled for players in multiplayer and are handled automatically by the AI.
We have decided to set the game this way to save you sending the game back and forth many times during one turn. However we are going to check the possibility to turn it on for players in future updates.
And what about multiplayer? Would it be possible to change the game so that more than two players could play together (vs and coop)? I don't see the reason to limit this possibility to only two human players.
