How is Battle Academy as a single player game?

One of the reviews I read (can't remember where) seemed to suggest it was better as a multiplayer game. How is Battle Academy as a single player game? That is probably the only way I would be playing it. I enjoy all sorts of games (strategy games being my favorite genre). Unity of Command look good too. I just played through the main campaign that comes with Panzer Corps and thought it was a pretty good game but thought it felt like work sometimes. I will probably try the DLC for that game in a while.

Primarily the game was designed for single player but it happens to have a great MP mode. Missions are carefully scripted with interesting evenmts to keep them all unique and varied. From the start single player was the main focus.
