Airplanes attack range?

Post by miki »

Hi gents

Great game! But the game manual comes short explaining some game info, imho.

For example, I would love to know which is the attack range for fighters, dive bombers and strategic bombers, and a way to see it displayed in the counters/icons in the map.

Also, I can't find info about the different unit info that shows each different unit display (what means those coloured dots, etc). I would love to see a sticky thread with full explanations, and pictures, of each unit mode, please.

Besides, naval warfare remains an arcane for me. I don't know it its an after-turn affair, or if i can directly attack an enemy fleet, or it's purely zonal, or...

Thanks in advance
Saludos

Hi miki,

Thanks for the kind words.

I'll try to answer your questions.

Basic aircrafts ranges are as follows:

Fighters Intercept = 20
Fighters Rebase = 40
Tactical Attack = 25
Tactical Rebase = 50
Strategic Attack = 40
Strategic Rebase = 80

However those values depends on:
aircraft technology level
chosen options in technology advance bonuses
countrys specific settings

I'm hoping that such encyclopedia with detailed description for every skin will be created.

Naval warfare always occurs at the end of the turn, and is happening within one sea zone. Please make sure that you have turned off automatic naval battle resolution in preferences.

Look under supply and movement in the manual.

It depends upon which map graphics you use.

Green can shoot and move, Yellow shoot or move, Red can not shoot or move.

It's easier just to look at the numbers. Those are the AP's the action points left.

The above should help you.

Naval war is auto resolved by default.

Open up preferences and un-check the box.
