The slingers on the right shoot the following targets:
- centre slinger base shoots the LF (most directly to front)
- right slinger base shoots the same LF (nearest in arc)
- left slinger base shoots the armoured MF in the second rak (most directly to font - though what this phrase means is arguable)
The slingers on the left:
only the rightmost slinger file can shoot due to arc of fire:
- the front rank armoured MF is not an eligible target (behind the front edge)
- the second rank MF is the nearest targetable base in arc, so they'll shoot that.
The left hand slingers can only fire 1 file, their target base is the LF to their right. But the slinger's POA is determined by the front rank armour class of the target so it is a - for armour (assuming the same stats as your 1st quiz). The slingers on the left shoot with 3 dice, the bottom 2 files shoot at - (again the armouor class of the front rank of the target). The top file is entirely behind a straight line extending the target BG's rear edge so it shoots at the LF in the back and uses the rear rank armour of the BG. Since the target base is the LF and the rear of the BG is mixed armour, I'd give them the LF armour class of unprotected for POA purposes (not clearly defined in the rules) or even.
Oops, my mistake it's 3 dice at 5s and 1 at 4s isn't it. Assuming red are facing down the page, left slingers are facing up and right slingers facing the red BG. Due to the rule that says "If shooting at a battle group that has mixed armour classes, the shooters‟ POAs are determined by the front rank armour class of the target, unless the shooting base is entirely behind a straight line extending the target battle group‟s rear edge. In this case use the rear rank‟s armour class to determine POAs"
