Panzer Corps sound fx and music problems...

HI! i ve just purchased Panzer Corps(since i grew up playing Panzer General-a colossus in pc wargaming back then-, i m a great fan, and thank you for giving life to hexwar turn WWII based strategy again in 2011. thank you!), and i m having some audio issues. at first i couldnt move, game froze and that was my "finest hour". then i looked into the forums and i renamed Audio into _Audio. ok, so far so good. i knew i wouldnt have sound and music, i could only play the game. ok. now is the part with codecs and schmodecs that i couldnt get into... i am sorry for being a noob. . . well what can be done??? thank you for your time! and again, thanks for a GREAT GAME!!!

PS: Battle Academy was a true inspiration! i mean this game has a lot to give... i really didnt like field of glory though, eh, ok but...(hmmm why not giving Battle academy some napoleonic touch...? hehehe!) sorry if i said too much!

We should try first to see if mp3 files are working in your system with the MCI.
For that, you could download this package and replace the waves files in you Audio folder (don't forget MoveSfx and AttackSfx subfolder have also wav files to be replaced) for these mp3.
I wouldn't delete the wav files, I would move them to another folder in your hardisk.
Can you do it?

FFDshow is a sign of K-lite.
But I don't seen it registered in your DxDiag.
If you've K-lite installed, just uninstall it. And download a recent version.
