Is the base game going to be neglected?

I just bought Panzer Corps and loving it so far but one thing has me worried. Is the base game going to have any future AI updates or enhancements or we'll I have to buy the dlc to get any of this. To be honest the dlc just doesn't interest me and due to personal financial issues I can't afford it. It was only because of the 50% off holiday sale I could get the base game. By the way two thumbs up to the developers for doing this, that's unheard of with a newer title.

Don't worry. The game base is not being neglected. The game is being updated regularly.
With the launch of the next DLC, the base game will be also updated to 1.05.

1.05 and DLC3 are being build in parallel, and probably will go live together too.

As for the changes in 1.05, most important changes are: several new MP maps, some new units, a number of improvements in localization support (when you load a saved game, you will see hex names, units etc. in your local language, not language used to create the save - this is especially important in MP), there are a number of bug fixes and small improvements.

Take a look at the modding section of the forum. There are already some interesting mods for you to play with Panzer Corps.

The idea currently is to make all the DLC's content updates while all feature updates go in to the core game. So you do not need to buy anything to keep the updates coming though obviously the more who do, the more resources we have to allocate to the base game!
