DLC 42

Post by nikivdd »

Somebody has to pop the question.

When can we start betatesting DLC 42?

Also i notice there are people wondering if the live version of DLC 41 will be released on dec, 5th or not.
Saint-Nicolas is a very important person in Belgium and all betatesters love to get a present on dec, 6th ;).

When it's ready.
lol j/k :)

As far as I know, 1.05 and DLC 1941 are still on track for Dec 5th. There could be a small delay as Slitherine is busy with other titles as well, but I don't know for certain. I am certain we will either have the release date of Dec 5th or information on any delay and the new release date announced on Dec 5th.

As for DLC 1942, it's still going through internal testing, but it's more or less complete. There are some new ideas we're experimenting with though, and we want to make sure we want to get them just right. 'Hardmode' paths for example will finally make their appearance. I believe Slitherine and staff are going to go shut down for the holidays sometime in late December and open back up in early January, and we're hoping to get a playable BETA of DLC 1942 out before that happens, so our players and community can enjoy 1941 LIVE and 1942 BETA during the holiday break. :)

What are 'hardcode' paths?
Sounds pretty ominous to me... especially considering we are getting into the Year of Stalingrad...

This sounds awesome! Can you whet our appetite any further on what the hard path will entail?

As soon as we have an official announcement for DLC 1942, I'll be happy to share.
1942 is going to be an experiment, just like captured units were an experiment. If the idea of using the branching aspect of the game for more than variety, 1943 and future DLC will definitely be designed around this idea.
