Giving Battlefield Academy as a gift - A question

I want to give Battlefield Academy as a gift to a family member.
I have looked through the forum and there seems to be some confusion as to how to give this game as a gift.
I am happy to buy the boxed version from the Slitherine.com website shop. I would like it delivered to my address so that I can wrap it appropriately.

If I choose the 'Buy Boxed + Download' option will I receive the normal Boxed Version with the disc and a unique serial number that another person can use to play a completely separate version of the game?

Also, what is the last date for ordering to ensure that I receive the boxed item in time for Christmas?

Yes you can do this but for the boxed version be sure to use the giftees name on the shipping address as this is the name that gets printed on the disk.
