I finally took a break from my own stuff and played this. Good job. I had a heck of a time finding that mortar.

Took the flag with 6 turns remaining. I lost a lot of troops along the way.
You can call me junk - and type that with one hand.

Played version 1.1 and is very much improved in terms of difficulty. Some more suggestions on my side for a very fine scenario in any case, i must say :

1. Change position of German Mortar to a better cover location, and definitely not right next to bocage since all units can fire at it from the other side from far away once spotted and tear it to pieces in no time

2. Still room for some more german units defending the town (or the forests around/in front of it)imo, i finish the scenario with way too many units on my side, some of them didnt even experience any kind of fire

3. How about adding a small german counterattack once you get to the city center, giving a few turns to organize a defense? I think it would make for a great climax, but not sure if you want to stick to historic details (and not sure if there was one after recapture)

Great work, thanks!
Now that a native OSX version is almost in my hands, I will consider doing some tweaks, and definitely putting out a second scenario.

Played this scenario last night as a break from Operation Cobra (which i'm beginning to think is impossible!).

[spoilers below!]
Anyhow, really enjoyed it. I split my forces into three and sent a large amount of infantry down the left flank, which seemed to be very vulnerable till we met the MG42 nest. In the end i had to swallow my pride and retreat from that flank and get them to join up down the middle with my Shermans. Had a lot more success on the right flank with the shermans/mortar and bren supporting through the middle and captured the village by turn 13.

Managed it first time so maybe some scope to increase the difficulty - or possibly a defence of a counterattack once you take the VP?
